I'm the sort of person you might expect to be using Reticulum; I value privacy and security very highly. I've been using Linux for nearly a decade now, and I try to use free and open-source software whenever possible. I've contributed to various wikis here and there, as well as to OpenStreetMap. I'm also very interested in open hardware.

I got started with a different mesh project, MeshCore, at the beginning of 2026, and learned a lot about the available LoRa hardware and how to set up cheap solar-powered nodes. A few months later I discovered Reticulum and found it to be far more interesting. I joined this wiki after attempting to write a Wikipedia article about Reticulum. The limitation of only using secondary sources was getting a bit exhausting, and while they have good reasons for such limitations, I find this wiki to be much more enjoyable :)

My draft article was declined, but you are welcome to contribute to it if you're familiar with Wikipedia's guidelines (or are willing to learn them). To get it approved, we probably need to wait for more high-quality secondary sources to cover Reticulum.

I'm also an anarchist, though I only found this out relatively recently. I think I may have always been one, but just didn't know the word for it.
